Description

This is a booklet about the home of Andrew Jackson Stewart, Sr., the first Utah County Surveyor, and his wife Eunice Pease Quinby Stewart, an early Provo merchant and midwife. Not only did they run the first store in Provo out of their home, but it was also a gathering place for civic and ecclesiastical meetings. Their was on the site where the Provo City Hall now stands, and their standalone store they built in 1860 is still standing directly across from City Hall on the north side of Center Street.
